So I may or may not have any time off this week. AGAIN! That means playtesting COMBAT TEAM! and painting up hordes of toy soldiers is put on the back-burner YET AGAIN! But don't think that I'm not at least thinking about it...
Just say guilty and go back to painting models. Joking of course. That sucks, wonder if anyone would mind you setting up a painting station while you listen?
Styx, I wish! they did have a big room where prospective jurors could hang out. I wonder what they would have done if I would have broken out a few minis and started painting!
Take it seriously, dude: it's a chore, yes, but one we ought to be glad to do. After all, there may come a time - you never know - in which your only hope may be to stand before a jury of your peers. Especially given the police track record in recent decades of making a complete cock of things...
Archduke, I did. Technically with the job I have now, I could have gotten out of it but I relished the opportunity to take part in something like that.
What was nice (the chore part of it...) was that with the winter storm we had, they postponed the trial and dismissed the jurors. So I'm off the hook for 3 years.
The most boring three days of my entire life was my one stint on jury duty. Still, it's better than just letting a judge make all of the rulings. Good luck
Mike, You're absolutely right. I completely see why it's so important that we (as citizens) take it so seriously. They let us all go and I went right back to work! So no painting either way for me!
