Game Models 15mm Reinforcements Arrived!

My Pre Christmas order from Game Models showed up today and I have to say I am quite impressed with the quality of the order.  Not only was Craig a pleasure to deal with, but the quality of the work is quite good and the price is even better.

I ordered some "test" vehicles and some guns to round out my forces.  I certainly didn't want to pay Battlefront prices or even Command Decision prices for their guns when these will certainly fit the bill.  You can visit the game models site here and view their impressive collection of WW2 vehicles and accessories.

Great packaging and all of the units arrived in fighting shape with no breakage!

Stone walls

Most impressive of the order are the M7 Priests.  I ordered a "battery" of them and they are terrific.  I plan on ordering British armor from Game Models now.  These are amazing!  How much would 3 M7s cost from Battlefront???  These were 5 dollars each.

I also ordered a battery of Wespes.  A wee bit stocky but still excellent for gaming purposes.  I now have 3 of them and saved a ton of money for a vehicle that will spend most of its time in the rear areas of the gaming table.

Panzer IIIM to round out some fighting platoons.  Not a bad model at all!
Bottom line?  These vehicles and guns are perfect for people who want a readily-assembled army straight out of the box.  They even come painted in a base color and dry brushed.  I may repaint some of them to match other vehicles in the set but I certainly cant complain. You could field an entire Flames of War WW2 tank company for half of the cost as each vehicle is 5 dollars!

Panzer IIIM

75mm PAK 40!!  Just need to give him a crew and he's all set.

The mighty Hetzer.  He will get a snazzy paint job.
I have nothing but good things to say about the folks at Game Models.  They are doing the entire gaming world a great service.  It's also worth mentioning that if there is a vehicle you are interested in, they will make it for you.

Now if only they did moderns!!!
Haystacks.

stone walls from Game Models.  I bought 2 bags of them as you can never have enough.  These will also serve well for AWI gaming.

  1. Thanks indeed Steven- I can see me saving up for quite a splurge on Desert War vehicles. I have been toying with doing an Italian Armoured force as well but couldn't really justify the cost for their on table performance. Now I can get a whole company of Ariete Division tankettes for less than $50! Awesome!

    1. That's what I was thinking, Paul. With Battlegroup: Tobruk coming out, how can you not outfit an Italian tankette company??!?!

I've decided to outfit my British units with tanks from them. It's too good of a deal to pass up!

  4. ciao steven buon Natale from Italy even if with slight delay.
visited immediately game models site. great stuff! I wrote them just to have an idea of possibile shipping così to Italy. also asked if they could produce cold war era models in near future. should not be shipping cost (and customs ) too high I could be very interested . for cold war era we could set up a buyers group like Minden Miniatures. ciao

    1. Ciao Marco! Buon Natale from the United States and no worries from the delay! Or as my wife's family from Portugal says "Feliz Natal!"

He wrote me and said he was thinking about doing Arab Israeli War this year which would be great. I was seeing if he'd do any T-80s or T-72s or BMPs and I would most likely spend an entire month's paycheck there!!
Let me know what he says to you.

  6. Always nice to see folks using alternative models for FoW.
Most of Battlefront's prices are ridiculous- even their new Panzer IV's in plastic cost almost double what Plastic Soldier Company charges for a Panzer IV.

If I was ever gonna run a Puma Company, I'd buy 'em from Gaming Models, cuz Battlefront charges like 11 bucks apiece...
    :P

    1. SinSynn,
I have tons of alternatives - PSC, Command Decision, Quality Castings, Point of Contact minis (I have the Tigers, US Halftracks, Germans Halftracks, and Shermans lol) and bunch of Battlefront stuff mixed. The Battlefront prices are just crazy and frankly it makes me NOT want to buy any of their stuff considering there are so many other alternatives out there.

Definitely check out his website. I think it's well worth it.
