It's nice creeping around in the house when no one else is awake. So this morning I got up at 4:30 and went down to the basement to throw more paint on some troops - coffee in hand!
Today I got done half of the 1809 Campaign 10mm French 7th Hussars, and a couple more stands of Bavarians.

Next up are 2 stands of Old Glory Bavarians. Almost an entire head shorter than their Eureka counterparts, they paint up REALLY fast. Like super fast so I think this outfit will be done much sooner than their Eurekan counterparts.

Finally, I thought this would be cool. I read about this on Steven's Balagan, a great Crossfire and general wargaming site that is linked on the right hand side of my blog. Suggestion was to smash a brick into a million pieces for urban ground cover to paint as well as brick texture to use for urban ruins. I'm going to be making some Stalingrad Crossfire units so I thought it would be cool to litter the bases with brick dust and blown up building fragments!

Last but certainly not least - dust clouds spotted on the horizon, sir! French troops on the march! It's Neil Thomas' One Hour Wargames Scenario #11 "Surprise Attack" and it's coming up next with my 10mm French and British massed troops

I quite often do the 4.30 to 5 am thing (back pain), but even with coffee in hand, it is too early for such precise painting - I might manage terrain - your pieces are lovely.
