Flu Recovery Report: Panthers & Panzer IIIs

As part of my Flu recovery prescription, Paul from Plastic Warriors recommended a healthy dose of Testor's model cement applied to plastic models in front of the TV.

Always being one for the latest in health advice, I took him up on it and I feel great.

I sat down watching season 3 and 4 of The Sopranos and built up some PSC kits that I had been wanting to build for awhile.  Here are 3 Panthers for the Buron game this summer, as well as my other 2 Panzer IIIM escorts for Battlegroup: Kursk.  I have one more Panzer III to complete but it can wait - that will be the Panzer IIIN with the stubby 75mm.  Quite the armored force I've got here!

lots of tanks!

I like the way the Panther went together - it was a fun build.

TC scanning the horizon for targets!

column of Panthers moves out!
Need to put some basecoat on these and the Canadian Carrier platoon I've got in waiting.  The Battlefront British I ordered should arrive any day and that will allow me to field the squad LMGs I so desperately need for my North Nova Scotia Highlanders.  Right now their squads are sorely lacking firepower with only rifles and an SMG per squad.

I also ordered an HMG platoon because the battalion needs its heavy weapons sections as well.  That covered this month's hobby purchases and still brought me in under budget.

Still too damp for me to go down and spend considerable time in the basement - makes me cough.  But I can at least basecoat all these AFVs laying around.  I was going to save them for my annual "tank week" in March but the head-start was good.  Still tons of Sherman Vs and Fireflies to finish from the Open Fire box, more Panthers, and that Panzer IIIN.

When I'm feeling 100%, I'll head down into the basement and finish off those SYW artillery troops I've got down there, and may throw a coat of paint on that French Napoleonic battalion.  They've waited long enough!

    1. Irishhighlander,
Memories! That's quite a nice family legacy with your grandfather and your father both serving in the NNSH!

It sure was. Headed back to work but I do at least have something to show for, and something to blog about.

    1. I'm working on it, Michael! Feeling much better as of late. I wish PSC kits did more to eliminate my hacking cough though...
